Living Life in the HOV Lane

It's All Good? No, It's All God's.

I Chron 29:11  “…everything in heaven and on earth is Yours.”
All of it is God’s.  All of it.
He has given us everything we need for life and godliness.
He could not forget my need anymore that a mother could forget those of the nursing babe in her arms.

We can say; “A tenth of all I have belongs to you.  You may have a tenth of all my money, a tenth of my time, a tenth of my talents.”
We tithe in mint and dill.

Are we called to love the Lord our God with one tenth of our heart, one tenth of our soul, one tenth of our mind, and one tenth of our strength?

Dare we think; “These are mine.  I have earned this with the sweat of my brow and the work of my hands.  I deserve this reward, for I have sacrificed much to come this far”?

you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
Rev 3:17
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.  In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
Heb 12:1-4
